About the research
In 2020, MAS invited Professor Dumper to present a paper to the MAS Roundtable Series entitled The Future of UNRWA in the face of Financial Challenges and Political Pressure. The paper led to the establishment of an MAS/HBS Expert Panel and a series of further studies on specific elements in the search for alternative sources and models for the funding of UNRWA. The current study will explore in greater depth the role of international financial institutions (IFIs), Islamic philanthropy and the Green Economy.
