I decided to come to Exeter after meeting the faculty here who genuinely care about their students and how we use our time here to prepare for what comes after we graduate.

Exeter also has a great employability program that focusses on preparing students for the job market. Whatever stage you are at in the process, the career consultants in the Career Zone are always sure to be able to help point you to the resources you need or provide career counseling if you are stuck.

We have one of the best Politics departments in the UK and offer programmes at our Streatham Campus in Exeter. We excel in research and teaching across all the main areas of political science including international relations, political theory, public policy and administration, comparative politics, public opinion and political behaviour.

Publishing in world-leading outlets, we conduct research on a wide range of fascinating issues such as extremist propaganda, authoritarian systems, climate change politics, and use cutting-edge methods such as brain imaging, big data analysis, and experimental approaches. Research income has grown with major awards from the Economic and Social Research Council, the European Commission and Leverhulme Trust. The department's strong research culture is reflected in our regular seminars and workshops and visits from internationally renowned scholars.

You will join a thriving postgraduate community with over 80 Masters students each year and currently more than 60 PhD students.
