Dr Lesley Rowan

Associate Lecturer

Dr Lesley Rowan has extensive experience in public sector organisational transformation, sustainable development practice and learning. Skilled in creating social learning systems embracing governance, innovative stakeholder engagement and tailored information cycles to achieve whole-system and multi-organisation change. 

 
She is an Academic Mentor on the new Systems Thinking Practitioner level 7 apprenticeship/MSc Systems Thinking in the Public Sector. 
 
Lesley is also is a Director and UK Board member of Systems Thinking and Complexity in Organisation (SCiO), the professional body for systems thinking practice. She is also a Director of 7 Starlings CIC, a systems framed community organisation that creates a habitat for creativity to enhance social and ecological well being.

External impact and engagement

Extensive practitioner experience in public sector organisational transformation, sustainable development and learning. Skilled in creating social learning systems embracing governance, innovative stakeholder engagement and tailored information cycles to achieve whole system and multi-organisational change. 

Current Director and UK Board member of Systems and Complexity in Organisation (SCiO), the professional body for systems thinking practice. Specific responsibility for member development events. These events develop practical understanding of systems laws and application of systemic approaches, methodologies and tools. 

Current Director of 7 Starlings CIC, a systemically framed community organisation that develops local habitat for creativity to enhance social and ecological wellbeing.
