Politics faculty make an impact at this year’s APSA
University of Exeter Politics faculty are contributing a total of 25 papers and sessions at the prestigious American Political Science Association (APSA) conference this year in San Francisco, California (31 Aug-3 Sept 2017).
APSA is one of the world’s largest and most prestigious annual conferences for political scientists across the world. Paper givers from Exeter include Ross Carroll, Iain Hampsher-Monk, Lorien Jasny, Claudia Zucca, Claire Dunlop, Alison Harcourt, Amy McKay, Antal Wozniak, Jason Reifler, Daniel Stevens, Susan Banducci and Nils-Christian Bormann among others.
To illustrate the diversity of politics faculty interests, papers range from topics such as: Europe in a Post-Brexit World; Fact-Checking and Fake News in the US 2016 Presidential Election; the role of policy makers in explaining gay marriage legislation in England and Wales; and political theory contributions discussing and debating the work of Edmund Burke and Mary Wollstonecraft.
