- Defining political participation and its place in a democracy
- Electoral / party participation
- Lobbying / contacting an MP
- Petitions: on- and off-line
- Wearing badges / ribbons
- Legal demonstrations
- Radical actions (occupations, sit-ins)
- Strikes
- Youth engagement
- Boycotts / buycotts
- Civic engagement / voluntary organisations
