Communicating effectively with diverse audiences is an essential skill for researchers of any discipline working towards securing the sustainable supply of food across the world. In this module, you will explore a range of approaches to the production and communication of agricultural and food research, including competing models of knowledge transfer, public engagement and participatory approaches to building knowledge. You will then apply these ideas across a series of contrasting social, geographical and policy contexts. Lectures will introduce and deliver the conceptual organisation of the module and direct you to further reading from appropriate sources. These ideas will be put into practice via critical analysis of agricultural extension, and designing knowledge exchange activities.
