This module examines the regulation of the media sector, encompassing traditional press and broadcasting markets, telecommunications and new media markets. Emphasis is on European Union (EU) regulation and its effect upon the direction of national policy. Topics include: EU audio-visual regulation, the 2020 Digital; copyright, telecommunications, data protection and privacy policies.
