International students

Our Politics and International Relations degree programmes in Cornwall have attracted applicants from across the World, because of our focus on globally transferrable skills and putting theory into practice. Over 1000 international students are already studying on our small friendly campus of 5,000 students overall. With 4 flights a day between Cornwall’s Newquay Airport and Heathrow starting on 31st March 2019, it is even easier to join us.

Cornwall is a beautiful part of the UK with a unique culture where there is something for everyone. You can enjoy a walk along one of our many footpaths, in our parks, gardens, or on our beaches. Eight of the county’s beaches (Porthmeor, Polzeath, Porthminster, Caris Bay, Widemouth, Trevone Bay, Porthtowan, and Falmouth’s own Gyllyngvase) have been awarded Blue Flag status in 2019 – an international designation recognising quality of the water and local facilities. This also gives our students plenty of opportunities to take up a variety of watersports. Cornwall has a strong community feel. A significant number of local cultural activities also happen in Cornwall throughout the year such as maritime and history festivals. You could even join a Celtic language group!

Our friendly approach and pastoral care in Cornwall has been consistently recognised as excellent by international students.
